Growing Tips
Most of these herbs can be started indoors year-round near a sunny window and transplanted outside once temperatures are consistently above 50 degrees F. Herbs like mint and chives do well in containers, while basil, dill, and parsley prefer a sunny outdoor bed or raised planter. Harvest leaves regularly to encourage continued growth. Allow a few plants to go to seed at the end of the season if you want to save seeds for the following year.
