Growing Tips
- Direct sow outdoors after the last frost when soil temperature reaches at least 60°F. No transplanting needed.
- Plant seeds 1 inch deep, spacing plants 9-12 inches apart in rows 30-36 inches apart.
- Corn is wind-pollinated, so plant in blocks of at least 4 rows rather than a single long row for good ear fill.
- Water consistently, especially during tasseling and silk formation.
- Monitor for corn earworms and treat as needed. Most other common pests have limited impact on this variety.
- Harvest when silks turn brown and kernels release a milky juice when pierced.
