Growing Tips
- Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost, or direct sow after frost danger has passed
- Seeds need light to germinate - press them lightly onto the soil surface and do not cover deeply
- Germination typically occurs in 7 to 14 days at soil temperatures between 65 and 70 degrees F
- Space transplants 18 to 24 inches apart in a location with full sun to partial shade
- Water regularly but allow soil to drain well - Lemon Balm does not tolerate soggy roots
- Trim plants back after flowering to encourage fresh foliage and prevent aggressive self-seeding
