Growing Tips
Sow seeds directly in the garden after the last frost date, when soil has warmed to at least 60 degrees F. Plant seeds 1 inch deep and 2 to 4 inches apart in rows spaced 18 to 24 inches apart. Beans prefer full sun and well-drained soil. Water consistently but avoid wetting the foliage. For a continuous harvest, make successive sowings every 2 to 3 weeks through midsummer. Harvest pods when they are firm and before the seeds inside begin to bulge.
