Growing Tips

Most herbs in this collection grow well in full sun with well-drained soil. Start tender varieties like basil indoors 6 to 8 weeks before your last frost date, then transplant after temperatures are consistently above 50 degrees F. Hardy perennials like thyme, sage, and rosemary can be direct sown or started indoors. Mint varieties spread readily and do best when grown in containers to keep them contained. Refer to the online grow guide for specific germination temperatures, days to germination, and spacing recommendations for each variety.
