Growing Tips
- Direct sow outdoors after the last frost date, or start 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost indoors
- Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in a sunny location with well-drained soil
- Thin seedlings to 12 to 18 inches apart once they reach 2 inches tall
- Dill prefers full sun, at least 6 to 8 hours per day
- Water regularly but avoid waterlogged soil
- Harvest fronds as needed once plants reach 8 inches; allow some plants to flower and set seed if you want to harvest dill seed
