Growing Tips
- Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost, or direct sow after frost danger has passed.
- White Sage prefers well-draining, sandy or loamy soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0.
- Seeds germinate best at soil temperatures between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Press seeds lightly onto the soil surface - they need light to germinate, so avoid deep burial.
- Water lightly and consistently during germination, then reduce watering once plants are established. White Sage is drought-tolerant at maturity.
- Full sun is preferred. Choose a location that receives at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day.
- Plants typically reach 3 to 5 feet tall and wide at full maturity.
