I haven't planted any yet but hopefully next year. I'm hoping they still grow.

I’m using them in an old truck

Waiting for seeds to grow but like the individual bio-friendly packets, and variety. Will update with pictures when they bloom.

Absolutely obsessed with the variety of these sunflower seeds. If you plant properly you’ll be satisfied! Thank you! Will be purchasing again this Spring! #HelpOurPollinators

I just reordered for next season. This was the best spent $13 dollars for more than 100 seeds and they all bloomed! Except the few the bunnies ate. I cannot recommend these enough. The variety and colors oh my!

Appears to be exactly what I wanted. Let's hope they grow!

I was really hoping for a bigger bag than I received, I’m not good at sizing things on Amazon so it’s not anybody’s fault but mine.
Gigi C
The package came perfect and well labeled with labels. Every seed grew in rocks may I add! The birds love the flowers and seeds and the little squirrels are stealing the flower heads! Highly recommend this product!

I bought the wildflower pack last year, and within 4 weeks, the flowers were budding. My gardener couldn’t believe it!
So this year we went with the sunflower pack, along the side of the house. My kids and I planted the seeds on Mothers Day, May 12. Today is July 6th and this morning the first sunflower opened :-D we are thrillleedd with this purchase.
The seeds sprouted through the mulch within a week, and continued to grow, consistently, beautifully and heartily.
The only issue we had were deer and rabbits eating the buds as they came out. We fixed that with an amazing, natural, organic deer spray. One spray and the eating stopped.
The sunflowers are taller than my 6 year old and she cant more amazed by this :)
Also- we are NOT progressional gardeners. Last year, we planted the seeds by sprinkling them onto the ground and covering them with mulch, then doing NOTHING.
With the sunflowers, we tended to them a little more, clearing weeds and watering them daily.
But we are really not pros.
These seeds are fantastic, easy, and so beautiful cant wait to see the full blooms :)
Thank you for an amazing product!

Easy to grow. Seems like a good deal.

The description says they are perennial sunflower seeds. They are not. They are annuals. Even if they grow, they will not come back after the first year. If you are fine with annuals, though, do yourself a favor and find a product on here that is non-GMO, Made in the USA. Otherwise you're probably getting something from China that may or may not even grow.
Laura
I'm not sure if they will grow yet. However the packaging is very tiny. Does not seem to be an accurate count of seeds.

I bought these to give to my clients and they were a hit!

The results in the planting of this sunflower seeds exceeded my expectations. My favorite are the Mexican sunflowers that take over my yard and constantly bloom.

So far I germinated the seeds and planted them in a sunny part of my yard a couple days ago. However only the pack marked “Wild Sundlower” did not sprout. I still planted them just in case maybe they aren’t meant to sprout. Otherwise they pretty much every seed popped and I cannot wait to see them in my garden.

I love these seeds. They are hardy and absolutely will grow. Almost every single one grew in my garden but not all grew to be large and bloom. I had an issue with landscapers that sprayed weed killer on my garden just after I planted a different set of seeds and the entire garden *except for the weeds* died. So I had to quickly replant and used these seeds for the job.
My garden is not nearly as beautiful and blooming as it was in previous years but not because of these seeds. You need to make sure you plant the seeds at the right time. The packaging will tell you when to do it based on where you live in the country, how deep to plant, and how far apart to plant each seed. I've found that the depth and spacing doesn't matter much as long as it's not super deep or super shallow. About 1 to 3 inches down will net you results.
In my area (Chicago) the best time to plant is late April/early May but I tend to do it a bit early around the end of March. I have found that as long as the seeds haven't spouted yet any late season frost will not harm the seeds. If the seeds have sprouted and there's a late season frost it's also not that big of a problem as so many of these seeds germinate that it actually makes room for the strongest ones to keep growing. Unfortunately for me I hate to replant in late June/early July and only now are the flowers growing buds and getting close to blooming. Normally this pack will net me a variety of sunflowers that are up to 10 feet tall with multiple flowers on each stem but because of the late season start (thanks to incompetent landscapers) and possibly residual chemicals in the ground the biggest flowers I have are around 4 feet tall and are going to bloom in August now. That's fine. A late summer/early Fall bloom is fine with me.
Anyway, the variety is great and these seeds will bloom under so many conditions. Even with the harsh summer we've had here and the abuse they've gotten from our landscapers I am happy with the results. The most critical period is when you first plant the seeds (make sure no birds dig them up because they will try) and when they first sprout. Some cheesecloth for about a week after you see the first sprouts may be a good idea and you might want to put down some cheesecloth right after planting so animals don't dig up the loose soil and ear your seeds. Birds and chipmunks seem to love these.
But again, these are great and easily bloom. You don't need a green thumb for these. As soon as it's hot out just make a habit of giving them a nice shower daily so they don't burn and cut off any yellow leaves and these things grow like weeds. They're great.

Two out of the seven varieties did not germinate. Same row, same method.
I have heavy deer pressure and learned that they avoid the Mexican sunflower in the package. So beautiful. Meanwhile, the other sunflowers were a come and come again feed source for the deer until the plants gave up.
Timmytimtim8709
I had only a few duds from this assortment and the ones pictured are just a few. The big one pictured (about 8 ft tall so far) has got to be a hybrid of sorts because it's producing multiple heads on the stem, I've never seen this kind of quality from sunflowers I'm just so amazed.

Great value for the quantity of seeds. Similar instructions to all seed pkgs good variety available

Perfect gift for the gardener

Edited 6/12/22- I’m uploading a picture. This is 6 DAYS after sowing the seeds! I still can’t believe the success rate and speed of germination. I highly recommend these!!
6/7/22- I got these yesterday. First, they’re packaged really cute. These would make a nice gift for a gardener. The came in a nice large resealable pouch, with each type of sunflower seed in another smaller packet. They also came with white plastic name tags, enough for each type of sunflower. So right away, I thought very nice, but let’s see if they grow. I literally planted them yesterday evening, just about 24 hrs ago, and I can already see more than half have sprouted! I can’t believe they germinated that fast. I’m super happy with this purchase. I can’t wait to see some sunflowers!!

Great variety of sunflowers and great packaging. Have not planted yet but I’m hopeful a lot will germinate and produce some beautiful flowers. Time will tell and I’ll update my review with how they do.

Gave packets to clients as part of an Earth Day gift. Super cute packaging and variety

Planted late March and all the seeds have sprouted. Can't wait to see one bloom. This package makes a really NEAT gift. Pretty design all around, 8 packs of seeds & planting tips for each variety. FUN!!!

I am very excited to start these! Each kind is in it's own packets. Packets are full.

The product was exactly what I was looking for. We needed to create 100 planters for grandparents and this product provided enough seeds for everyone to have four seeds and we had extra!!

As you can see, they grew and did not disappoint. The pictures show the chocolate sunflowers and the velvet queen. I love them!

Extremely nice pack very nice variety I have some as tall as 12ft good size heads not to big on the 6-8 ft plants and the beautiful smaller flowers I wasn’t expecting at all.

About half of the plants are coming up.

Germination excellent. Bunnies bad. Solve by mixing water, minced garlic, cayenne pepper and a little dish soap. Must the plants. No harm to bunnies or plants
Tara
A lovely variety of heirloom sunflowers. They have sprouted and are growing quite well. They will make a beautiful addition to our garden and a lovely and inviting treat for local birds.
MsMamma
Planted dozens upon dozens of seeds (some started indoors and some sown directly) but very few actually came up. Didn’t have this trouble with any other plants I did this season so I don’t think it was user error. They were very nicely packaged and well organized. I’m excited to see blooms on the plants that did make it.
Glong
Gorgeous packets of beautiful seeds! The packets are too pretty to throw away- I am going to mod podge and frame them!

Great quality of sunflower seeds and nice variety.

I bought these seeds to plant on the family farm. I stored the seeds and kept them safe. I just opened the packet after 3 weeks in storage and found grubs crawling in the package, chewing my seeds, and building webs in the bag. I’m disappointed because the seeds We’re being eaten when I thought they were safe. I will be quarantining these seeds and planting them ASAP to salvage the seeds that I can. Disappointed.
Pouch show in image contains 8 smaller plastic bags, plant labels, and instructions. And grubs. Approximately one tablespoon worth of seeds per type.

I'm trying to put together wedding favor seed packets for the guests to take to find their table, so I need a bunch of seeds in bulk that I can fill them with. For $15 I was expecting a LOT more than the tiny package I received with the tiny amount of seeds in each one. I can't see how there's over 1,000 seeds here, even if they are small. The package is a little bit bigger than the size of my hand (it looks much bigger/more full on here) and there are very few of the smaller seed varieties in the small baggies.
That wasn't the worst part, though. I was so excited to open them up today and when I did I found bugs in the main bag, with most of the little baggies having holes in them with seeds eaten inside. After the pandemic, it seemed a package we were shipped from China was infested in these little bugs who turned into Moths, so I don't want to take the chance of that happening again.
Regardless, I'm returning both of the bags I ordered to find a larger quantity for the wedding favors for a (hopefully) cheaper and bug-free price. I wouldn't wanna risk giving the seeds without holes in the bags to any of the wedding guests. I really wanted to like these because of all of the positive reviews!

These didn't germinate very well in our thin, hot Texas soil. Perhaps it is just our location.

Impressive collection of sunflower varieties. While I haven't had anything flower yet, I've had a surprising 100% of seeds germinate, usually within just a few days. I've planted about 40 of the seeds over the past few months and have already transplanted most of those into the garden. Only one sprout didn't make it, reaching an inch or two high and then keeling over. Will hope that August brings some flowers!
vallyj1
I love the variety with this pack. We had an extremely high rate of germination with these seeds and they are growing quickly!! I can't wait for all of our beautiful sunflowers!!
A.E. Woody
We wanted sunflowers for a couple of reasons. We had a milking room off our barn that we had to take down and the floor ended up growing in with nettle, this year we finally took care of that and wanted to plant flowers there instead. So we wanted sunflowers for that. We also wanted to try planting sunflowers to make walls to make like a play house outdoors room for the kids. So some were planted with a wild flower seed mix outdoors where the milking room was, they tall ones for making the "room" we started indoors in soil in compostable egg cartons.
Okay, what I liked:
8 varieties
lots of seeds of each type
different heights for different uses
the varieties were bagged separately so we knew which were which
price point
was looking for lemon and chocolate cherry
came with planting instructions and markers
What I was disappointed in:
germination rate was not as good as hoped, tall ones did well, short ones no, but see planting comment above
Mexican sunflowers are a Tithonia and are not actually sunflowers

I got these for my preschool class and most of the seeds came up lovely! They are amazed at how large they got in just a short about of time. I usually plant marigolds but I am so pleased how these turned out they I am thinking I will do these every year. It's a project to watch over the summer, and it's their gift to give to their mom's for Mother's day.

We’re planted and nothing came up it was good fertilized soil bought at Home Depot watered regularly and nothing

Nice bundle of Sunflowers! Each bag is seeds was labeled and it also had a growing direction booklets that discussed each seed. Perfect touch with the nice plant labels for you to stick in the ground! Would recommend!
Lou
The seeds came in such a timely manner. I planted them about 4-5 days ago and although they have yet to bloom, I can already see some sprouts peeking out. I am very excited about the variety too!

I did not know there were so many different types and colors of Sunflower seeds, and that they were used for so many different medical treatments by the Native Indians, and early settlers. I will be trying more and more from Amazon Seeds.

It's always a little hard to judge how seeds are going to work out before the end of the season, so I am judging these seeds on what I can judge right now, pre-season! What I can say is that the variety is great. I love looking at the sunflower pages of seed catalogs and trying to decide which ones to order, and now, for one price which is quite low, I have eight different varieties of very cool sunflowers! I love it that they are non-GMO, as my sunflowers are eaten by many birds and squirrels in my yard, and I like how many seeds are included. I'll have a spectacular sunflower patch this summer! Sunflowers are so easy to grow. If you are looking for a fun growing project with kids, this would be a wonderful pack to get, and I look forward to seeing all these colorful flowers grow tall!
Debbie
You get a bag that contains instructions for each type of seed included, a bunch of small, plastic plant label stakes, and plastic bags containing the seeds. There are eight bags of sunflower seeds of different varieties: Autumn Beauty, Lemon Queen, Velvet Queen, Sun Spot, Mexican, Wild, Chocolate Cherry and Evening Sun. There are probably more than 100 seeds for each variety. There is one variety that is only 2 foot tall, some that are six or 7 foot tall, and about half are 8 foot tall. The four varieties that are 8 foot tall did very well in terms of germination. Very, very few failed to come up. The other four varieties only had 1 to 6 seedlings come up even though I planted over 50 seeds. I used the leftover seeds to replant the gaps, and I'll see if the poor germination rate is partly due to the rainy, cooler weather we've been having. Still, I would've expected better germination rates since half of the seeds did very well. Update: the second planting of the seeds germinated much better, though some were still better than others. They are very beautiful sunflowers.
The instruction booklet describes the plant, gives planting information like when to plant it, how deep, and how far apart, and harvesting information.

This pack went along a fence line that separates my property from a field of crops. They are well packed and seem to be a good quality pack of seeds. I will update later in the year with a picture of the results.
This item is good quality and it is very much worth the purchase. It arrived in good condition and I have found no flaws with the product and I fully recommend it. Great purchase! 4 stars.

So long as sunflower seeds are watered regularly while sprouting, the sunflower itself is such a strong, sturdy plant that it can withstand a bit of abuse once established. The nice thing about sunflowers is that they are so tall and I am hoping their presence will assist in keeping that side of the house just a bit cooler by absorbing all that solar radiation and not allowing the bricks to soak it up. Of course sunflowers are like small suns in their own right - bright yellow flowers that can be as big as a dinner plate! A fun seed to start with for both adults and children. If a child plants some sunflowers and then watches as they grow, they can't help but be amazed that their tiny seed could become such a huge plant!

My kids and I love planting sunflowers because they are easy to grow and are big. I love the selection of sunflowers in these packages. There are some very nice heritage species here. Can't wait to plant these in the spring.
Oliver DeMille, TJEd
I love the selection of Non-GMO organic seeds - some are pretty common ones and others are new to me. These are not eating-seed blooms, but rather ornamental. Great choices for a bright variety of color combinations and sizes! I'm thrilled to find a clean source of quality seeds. And you can even harvest the seeds for the next generation!
Small~Town~Girl
Ordered this wonderful pack of eight different varieties of sunflower seeds, looking forward to spring, and starting to plan for summer flowers. Can't wait to plant these in the spring. Every year, when the sunflowers are blooming around town, I remember how I want to plant some different varieties and every year, until now, I think of it too late, once I see other people's sunflowers in bloom. THIS is MY year for pretty sunflowers!! Looking forward!
