It’s been almost 3weeks and the seeds have started to grow, although very small - a nice little starter kit. A good gift for beginners. You can see little starts in each pot, I can’t wait to see them when they grow up.
I purchased this kit because I really wanted an Aloe plant from growth seeds and was nervous about buying a full plant online. Sowed on 11/7/20. You can see I used the humidity seed tray w/ dome sets assuming the seeds needed that for germination. So far, two of the four succulents cups are showing progress. See photos. My recommendation is to please label the succulents separately. I found it hard when trying to figure out with pictures from the internet which ones matched the seeds in the mix. Another thing, included were only two soil pods, and they didn’t respond to the water immediately. Or maybe include a knowledge pamphlet detailing each seed variety I like the cups, maybe include two more to support the abundance of seeds variety in the mix. I’m interested in trying more starter kits, please let me know! :)
I think this kit was so fun. The peat moss disks that came with it were the perfect size for the pots. The pots are my favorite part. So often kits will come with peat cups which are good too but I loved having these plastic ones. They are the perfect size and the lil saucers that go under them are adorable.Everything was packaged so well.Really enjoyed this set alot!
Honestly wasn’t expecting much from this kit, but I’m pleasantly surprised. Instructions were a bit confusing but I followed my best judgement and within a few days, some of the cactus seeds already germinated! A little more than 2 weeks and 3 of the 4 seeds I put in the pot in the picture are off to a great start. I recommend covering the pots with plastic Wrap to keep the humid environment to help promote germination. Excited to see how these continue to grow!
