I planted every kind of seed in the packet in different environments and systems. One was in a hydroponics and the other in a tray. Less than half of the seeds germinated. All of the mint seeds did not germinate and they created a green algae on their grow environment. Really disappointed

First year I got these I did get a 70% germination rate, but this year using them I got maybe 10% germination rate and even the arugula that sprouted died on me. I'm going to try direct sowing this week with the remaining seeds and hopefully I'll get stuff to sprout, but as far as getting transplants it did not have success. Everything I got from Migardener sprouted, and all the Amazon buys were a dud, so I have learned my lesson.

A majority of these didn't sprout anything or if they did sprout they were pathetically small. I know it's not me because I've bought other seeds from other sources and they grew amazingly at the same time. So the same soil was used. Same lighting. Same care. These are just that bad.

I bought the HOME GROWN 15 Culinary Herb Seeds and they were planted on 4/1/24. The germination rate is poor. I planted 4 or more seeds per space. The soil was moist, with grow lights on a timer. As you can see, most seeds didn't germinate. However, the thyme seeds all germinated. There were a few varieties that nothing germinated. They were planted two weeks ago. I am disappointed. Seeds I got from other companies sprouted no problem.
4/17/24- I heard from Home Grown and they offered to make it right and send new seeds. This is what a rebuttable company does. I'll update the review after I receive and plant the new seeds.

Today is day 10. Out of 15 different seeds, only 3 have not sprouted yet. Still waiting on the rosemary, mint, and chives. I'll give it another 3-4 days and then replant if they still have not come up. Overall, very happy. I will post an update when I find out about the remaining seeds.

I love the variety of seeds in this pack, and felt that the germination rate was pretty good compared to seed packets that I've bought in home improvement or landscaping stores in the past. There aren't a ton of seeds per pack, but I felt like I had enough to grow a large variety of herbs for the season! Overall, I would recommend it.

Upon receiving package it came with barley over 1000 seeds some packs only had 4-10 seeds in them very disappointed with this product now I'm going to have to find seeds elsewhere and wait even longer to get stuff going because I didn't have all the seeds needed for the area I am currently planting on

I’ve only grown in my hydroponic garden the thyme, chervil, parsley, oregano, dill, and cilantro from this package. The photo shown is about 3 weeks of growth. Plants look healthy and sprouted within a week. I’ve already used the dill, oregano, and thyme in cooking. Good seeds so far. Can’t wait to start the others after I transplant these to pots.

I've ordered seeds from this company before with complete satisfaction. However, the latest (late Feb 2024) package contained 5 unlabeled seed packs. This looks like a production issue that could potentially affect other purchasers of this product.

I want to plant an herb garden. I am doing a lot of cooking lately and would love to have fresh herbs to use and the recipes I try. I bought a planting tower and a Lazy Susan to rotate it. The corner by our sink has windows on both sides so it will get a lot of light. I will post pictures later after I plant the seeds and they start to sprout and I will let you know the germination rate of the seeds. But I felt it had good value for the money and a good selection of herbs. Right now I am giving it three stars for growth rate. After I know exactly how it does, I will update my review.

Some of them are growing “okay.” But it’s been almost 2 months and the picture I included is of the mint I planted. Maybe I’m being impatient. I reached out to the company and they messaged me back once with advice that didn’t help. I messaged them again and it’s been 7 days with no answer.

I LOVE cilantro. Ordered this just for the cilantro.
I added the seeds to 2 pods in each of my hydroponics.
Nothing.
Added them to soil. Nothing.
Added them to soil with heat mat. Nothing.
It was weird. I had used another brand and they grew beautifully, but I messed with them and they got crushed during transplanting.
I planted some of the other seeds in soil using heat mats, and nothing.
I must have gotten a bad batch.
Most of them did great in the hydroponics though.
I’m going to try soaking and crushing the cilantros and see if that works.
Still waiting on the seeds in the soil on a heat mat to sprout.

I've so far tried the basil, peppermint, dill, and cilantro. All but the cilantro sprouted nicely. I've tested 6 cilantro seeds and none sprouted, even in an AeroGarden which is designed for herbs (lower right corner of the photo). Hoping that the other seeds sprout.

Unfortunately, more than 50% didn’t spout! The ones that did 90% were the basil seeds. Mint seeds did not grow at all (20 seeds used), dill only had two grow (12 seeds used), garlic chives had 2 grown (10 seeds used), chives had zero (10 seeds used). These seeds are poor quality. Such a shame

Like the title said, had a few surprises when they sprouted. The chives were actually basil. Randomly had a radish grow. Seems like they’ve got some mixed seeds. Other than the mystery side of it, everything did sprout.

My attempt at hydroponics started out really but 3 weeks into the growing cycle the light stopped working and of course the planets all wilted and died! Very unhappy with the hydroponic plant herb grower!!!!!

I purchased these to start my own herb garden inside. I planted these. They have been outside most of the summer, and only about half of the seats in the whole packet sprouted. Many of the seeds did not germinate. I do not think I would purchase again, but the ones that did grow are OK.

While a couple seeds managed to germinate, namely the dill, parsley, and sage —that was it out of ALL of them.
I’m an experienced hydroponic grower utilizing an ideal, controlled growing environment, including a gemination kit with a temperature controlled heating pad and humidity domes as well as following hydroponic best practices. I had 100% germination success with seeds from another source, and all of then were under the same conditions and at the same time. I’m not sure if the seeds that i received from “HOMEGROWN SEEDS” were too OLD or what, but at the rate they germinated, it ended up being about $1 per seed.
Don’t waist your money with this brand, utilize a trusted source that may seem like they cost more because in reality they end up being extremely good value when you’ll actually end up with seedlings after you put the work in to planting them.
Read the other reviews that had the same results as I did, I wish I would have looked further than to just trust the positive review ratings… now it was just $$$ down the drain, quite literally.

I like having fresh herbs around, and this is a great variety pack of them. I grow herbs indoors during the cold months and outdoors during the warm months of lower Michigan. I have had great success with these seeds sprouting and fully growing. Great price for great herbs. If you don't like some of the packets, offer them to someone who does.

I bought this product because it states good for indoor hydroponics set up. Once I received my seeds I used the QR code for growing instruction manual. Nowhere does it state for hydroponics. I contacted the manufactured using their provided QR code for support. The response from Maria is tht their guides do not address hydro growing. So then why sell as hydro and also wht state to use the online guide. Very very disappointed.

I honestly thought people couldn't tell that there were a lot of seeds because they areso small so I ignored the reviews and ordered. I opened the package and took out basil, opened the basil pack over a paper plate so I could count them, and poured out the seeds to count. It didn't take me long. There were NINE. Nine seeds. Basil seeds aren't particularly small. I didn't miss any. If other reviews hadn't found similar I would have chalked it up to an error, but I'm more pessimistic at this point.

I bought these the end of June, planted in pods, by the end of July I transplanted to planters. This is the sage, basil, thyme, dill, cilantro, oregano and parsley. They are all thriving!!! I'm so thrilled!! Definitely worth the money!!

Way too many seeds to plant all at once, if the bags were resealable this would solve all those problems. there are literally no instructions on how to take care or plant which plant next to each other. You have to do a lot of research before planting each seed. Planted lavender but they never sprouted
