Gordon Lightfoots muse!
Birthday gift
Followed the planting instructions (Cold stratified first), adjusted for a sandy loam, but failing to germinate. Only a few sprouted so far. Will wait to see if they germinate further.

I tried sowing a sampling of seeds using the stratification method (store in refrigerator for about a month), and also soaked some in water and went directly into the soil. I'm seeing decent germination rates with both methods, although they do take a long time to get started. It's too soon to see how these will develop, but so far, they seem promising.

Have not planned these yet, but I'm hopeful. I love lavender,

The product was seeds, which I just planted. Hopefully, they will produce!

Great germination rate on these seeds. We now have little clumps of lavender in our garden at a MUCH lower price than buying fully mature plants.
Good for attracting bees, too. Every garden should be growing plants such as these.
Great quality seeds and recommended.

These are a nice quality. They are packaged securely and they seem like good seeds, no mold or mildew. They seem very good. You get a nice little amount in the package. Overall I'm pleased so far.

I'm so excited about the percentage of starts I got! They are growing nicely, I will update when they bloom

This is my review of HOME GROWN Premium English Lavender Seeds. I started these seeds in my grow trays in the house due to the cold weather outside. Out of 15 seeds planted only 2 sprouted. I plan on planting them outside once the weather improves. I am a little disappointed so far, I will try another batch when the weather warms up, hopefully, I will have better luck with that batch. I am rating these seeds 3 stars as I have not had much luck so far, but others may. I will update in the future if my experience changes.

How can I say anything about the product. It's to early to say I'd they worked

The packet comes with all the planting info on the back and it also has a QR code you can scan for more tips and information on growing lavender. I’ll try to update this review if/when my lavender grows!

I sprinkled about a quarter of a packet of these seeds across a 12" pot and probably darn near all of them have sprouted within 14 days! Can't wait to see them mature.

I planted seeds in 12 small pods in my greenhouse and six weeks later only two pods have any sprouts. I'll update with the quality of plant later in the year, hopefully these two mature into Lavender plants.

These seeds popped in no time. I sewed them in a solo type cup and placed them in the refrigerator as instructed, but I got impatient and after a few days I switched them to the freezer for a couple days. After that I immediately put them under a grow light and just over a week and they’ve germinated and sprouted nicely. I still have so many that I now know will grow to line my garden gate. Definitely recommend, can’t wait to smell their fragrance.

I ordered this pack of HOME GROWN Premium English Lavender Seeds to plant in a bare portion of my backyard garden.
It's a bit too early in the season to get these seeds into the ground, so all I've been able to do is get an idea of how well they will germinate. I grabbed about 10 of these seeds and put them between layers of paper towel that I kept wet. After about a week, all of the seeds had gotten plump, and 3 of them had a tiny root poking out.
For best results, you need to soak these seeds before planting. I should be able to plan within the next few weeks or so. I'll update this review once I have an idea of how well they grow.

This is a perfect bunch of seeds for drought locations like in here CA. I love that they don't need much water to grow and they attract bees. Easy to plant and grows easily. Love it.

My husband and I have a big front window in our living room. We have a privacy tree (a little one) but there are still some gaps. I also love the benefits from lavender. When I saw these seeds and thought hey this can be fill in the gaps.
I thought also the delivery drivers, and postal worker could have a moment of relaxation. Also we figured out lavender keeps away flies, fleas, and mosquitoes. That's really important to my husband and I because we have 4 dogs.
The seeds were awesome! They're so many seeds in this pack! They come with clear instructions and a QR code that leads you to a site with clear directions and facts. It was really neat.
This is about a week in.... I'm already getting sprouts!
If I remember I'll post updates every once in a while.

Quality seeds. No complaints.

I started these seeds inside, and it took a bit longer than expected for them to hero. However, a good percentage did sprout. They have continued to grow nicely. But haven’t had time to bloom yet.

This product is one standard seed packet sized container of English lavender seeds. I planted them in a nice Miracle-Gro soil and I started them indoors with a grow light set to full spectrum. They are in a nice humid room that gets just enough breeze for good air exchange.
The lavender plants are coming up nicely so far, although not all of them sprouted. The ones that did come up from the ground are getting pretty aggressive and coming straight up. No buds yet, still just sprouts, but I'm lowering my grow light so they feel they have enough light to begin spreading out.
I can just barely smell the scent of the natural lavender, which far exceeds any lavender product on the market. So far the seeds are about 50% success rate but the ones that did sprout are coming along just fine. Good pack of seeds overall!

I started a few seeds in an indoor planter and they sprouted within a week. Looking forward to keeping them alive!

Love the instructions! These are going in my front garden wgere everyone can enjoy!

The non-GMO lavender seeds come in a generously sized packet, providing plenty to work with. I plan to start the germination process closer to spring and will update if any issues arise. The quantity is more than enough for my needs, as I only require 5-10 plants for various spots in the yard. Excited for the soothing scent and natural mosquito repellent properties. The packaging looks classy and adds to the appeal of the product.

It will be months before I know the germination rate of these seeds, but on first inspection, they appear to be of very good quality. They are plump, clean, and whole. The packet claims to contain 1500 seeds, and that seems accurate.
On the back of the packet, a QR code leads to a PDF with concise instructions for growing lavender from seed. It details stratification, a simple process to break dormancy by mimicking winter-to-spring temperatures through at least a month of cold storage in the refrigerator. When the seeds are brought out into a warm house at the end of that time, they are "tricked" into thinking it's time to grow. Even with stratification, lavender seeds are slow to sprout, so allow ample time for early-season planting.
A note on packaging: While attractive packaging doesn't improve seed growth, it certainly sets the mood! Both the seed packet and the instructional PDF are aesthetically pleasing.
Update, one month later: The germination rate of these seeds is very good, even without stratification. While I was waiting for a batch in the refrigerator to be ready for planting, I also put a few seeds in a tray without prepping them in any way, just to see how they would do. Lavender plants are slow to germinate, but already half of the unstratified seeds are growing. I only need a dozen plants, so I'm happy. Good seeds!

They came well packaged. I got these just for my yard so this quantity of seeds should be more than enough. They include a QR code on the packet that you can follow for instructions. This seed requires a step before planting where you have to dampen the seed and leave for a few weeks. It seems easy enough but does require some planning ahead! I will update over the summer once these (hopefully) have grown and bloomed.

It's the perfect time of year for stratification. The seeds are currently in my refrigerator sprinkled on a damp paper towel inside a ziploc bag. I feel like they are responding to the process. I'm excited to plant them once they finish germinating. I want to put some indoors and some outdoors. This was a fair price and it's good that they give you so many because lavender seeds can be challenging and require a bit of trial and error.

Even though I have not planted these lavender seeds yet, I am giving these 5 stars already, and I'll explain why.
It took me years to figure out why my lavender seeds never germinated and two years ago I found out by accident what I was doing wrong. Normally I toss anything that didn't germinate after 6 weeks. But for lavender seeds, 6 weeks might not be enough.
This package of lavender seeds has the correct instructions, mentioning germination in 14 to 60 days. I have lavender seeds from 2 other places, I just looked and they both say germination in 15 to 28 days. And this is why I have wasted so many lavender seeds over the years. I didn't know that it can take up to two months for germination to happen when it comes to lavender.
Other than finally finding a package of lavender seeds that correctly mentions how long it may take for the seeds to germinate, this is also heirloom and non GMO.
The package has clearly written instructions on the back, and it comes protected in a small ziploc bag.
Even knowing how long it takes to germinate lavender seeds, the germination isn't necessarily successful. Normally when getting seeds, I come back and edit my review to comment on the germination rate if it's anything out of the ordinary, but I already know that germination rate is rarely great for lavender seeds.
